Far East and Hafla

Of the nearly 1,000 pictures I took that night, I selected the best ones I could.  My goal was to show the stories told, stories told with motion, with my still pictures.  That alone was a challenge.  Another challenge was the environment.  Lighting conditions were somewhat trying and some dancers moved so fast that capturing them was quite a challenge.  I endeavoured to show the motion without too many repeat shots.  These photos are sized for 8x12 prints, color corrected on a color-calibrated monitor, and processed for sharpness and noise.  When you print them, ensure that the photo studio does not "enhance" the photo or the print will come out oversharpened and possibly with blown-out colors.  I hope I did the dancers justice.  Aside from lighting, Little Nepal was the perfect restaurant for atmosphere.  I hope to shoot more pictures there in the future.
